How it Works

How do one-time rentals work?

  1. Select: Browse and select the style you want to Rent. Need some help? Chat one of our amazing stylists and they can help answer any questions you may have about fit or size and even provide tailored recommendations for you. Add a free backup size to ensure the perfect fit :)
  2. Rent: Choose a delivery date and rent for either 4 or 8 days. Your return date will be automatically selected for you based on your delivery date.
  3. Receive: Your item(s) will be delivered to your home, office, or hotel by 8PM on your selected delivery date.
  4. Return: Return for free! Place items in the provided packaging (which includes a pre-paid label). Schedule a pickup or take the packaging to USPS or an approved USPS facility by 12pm on your rental return date. We’ll handle the dry cleaning.

How long are rentals?

You can rent for either 4 or 8 days. We recommend scheduling your delivery 2 days prior to your event.

Will the dresses need to be pressed upon arrival?

Due to the nature of shipping, your item may be slightly wrinkled upon arrival. If your item is wrinkled, we ask that you steam your item(s) on low heat.

How are items cleaned?

We take great care to clean our items. Our team uses a wide array of techniques to make sure each item is thoroughly cleaned, steamed and pressed, inspected for quality, and packaged with care so that it’s ready for you to wear.

When should I reserve my rental?

You can book a reservation up to 2 weeks in advance, and schedule your order to arrive 1-2 days before your event. We also offer same-day delivery to most of Los Angeles and next-day delivery everywhere else in the U.S., as long as you place your order before 3pm PST the day before you’d like your rental to arrive.

Do you have a wait list for dresses?

We don’t have a wait list just yet, but we’re in the process of working on adding that feature!

Policy

What if the items I ordered don’t fit?

We’re here to help!

Option 1: We’ll do our best to overnight a new style: Email us at hello@thefashionpass.com before 3PM PST and we can overnight you a new style for $12.95. If the style you select is more expensive, you will be charged the difference in price. If the style is less expensive, you will be given a merchandise credit for the difference in price.
Option 2: We’ll give you a credit: We’re happy to give you a FashionPass credit (less the cost of shipping) if none of the items in your order fit. Please note: you must use the provided packaging (which includes a pre-paid label) and return everything to us within 24 hours of receiving it. To receive a credit, email hello@thefashionpass.com and someone will promptly get back to you. Credits do not expire, but we do not issue partial credits or credits for accessories or intimates.

What if I accidentally stain or damage the dress?

We understand some wear and tear may be inevitable, and the $5 insurance fee covers minor stains and damage (insurance is included for FashionPass GO members). However, significant damage and theft aren't covered under the insurance. If the item is damaged beyond repair or never returned, the fee is the retail price of the item (rental cost is not included).

Can I keep or purchase an item?

One-time rental items are not available for purchase at this time. Only FashionPass GO members can purchase their items. Keep an eye out for the item in our Sale section!

Shipping

How much does shipping cost?

We automatically select the correct shipping option to ensure your items arrive to you by 8pm on your rental delivery date. Standard shipping is $9.95 and overnight or same day courier service in LA can be viewed at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time we only ship orders within the U.S., including Hawaii and Alaska. Orders must also be returned from within the U.S.

Is a signature required for delivery?

No signature required! Please note, it is your responsibility to provide us with information such as gate/access code instructions or any details that may prevent your package from being delivered.

What time will my rental arrive?

Deliveries are made between 8am and 8pm during weekdays and Saturdays. We provide tracking information so you can see when your package is out for delivery.

Can you deliver to a hotel or another address besides my home?

Sure! If you're shipping to a hotel, please put the hotel name in the company field and the reservation guest in the attention field. Please make sure the hotel concierge is expecting your delivery.

Do you offer overnight shipping?

Yes, we do! Prices vary by city and are listed on the checkout page. Note, our order cutoff time is 3PM.

How does same-day courier service work in Los Angeles?

If you place your order before 3PM, you will have the option to choose same-day courier service at checkout. A courier will deliver your package to the address provided by 8PM (often times sooner). Please note, it is your responsibility to provide us with any necessary information such as a gate or access code. Same day courier service is currently only available to select zip codes within Los Angeles.
